I think the reason why people are privately laughing at Reese Witherspoon getting arrested is it proves she`s obnoxious. Witherspoon has a pretentious persona which she has crafted and perfected for the media and public. However, when Reese asks the police office as she`s getting arrested do you know my name? Witherspoon`s husband`Jim Toth was arrested for a DUI. Witherspoon rudeness towards the police officer illustrates some of these Hollywood celebrities believe they are above the law.
Lost in the media’s praise for Jason Collins decision to come out is the sad story that he lied to his fiance Carolyn Moos for eight years. The gay community has swept this ugly aspect of Jason Collins coming out story under the rug. The homosexual community is very hypocritical about these down low brothers like Jason Collins. One argument is, Jason Collins was lying to himself, he felt he needed to maintain a heterosexual image in order to not be ostracized in the NBA. However, why do some gay closeted men drag a woman through their drama? Why ruin someone else’s life?
Carolyn Moos was very restrained during the Piers Morgan interview she can’t be honest with her feelings of pain. If Moos was blunt about being angry at Jason Collins the gay mafia would scream she’s a homophobe. I think the gay community can’t have it both ways we want to be accepted by society yet refuse to acknowledge when a LGBT person does something wrong. Why does the gay community ignore the deception of these gay celebrities like Jason Collins? It is disgusting, sick, and sinister what Jason Collins did to his fiance their relationship was a facade to hide his homosexuality.
The gay mafia’s silence about Jason Collins deception is interesting. After all, why dirty up a good thing? I think it is pathetic, sad, and tragic that Collins lied and deceived his fiance for eight years. Think about it, eight years is a long time to hide your true sexual orientation from a fiance. Carolyn Moos had planned to get married to Jason Collins, have children together. Now, eight years of Carolyn Moos life is wasted and destroyed simply because Collins was a closet case. Why lie to a woman for eight years? Why lead someone on for such a long period of time?
Yesterday, American soccer star Robbie Rogers returned to training with the LA Galaxy. Rogers came out of the closet in February and if he does return to the MLS he will be the first openly gay soccer player in the world. The problem is, even though Rogers is a free agent,the Chicago Fire own his rights. Rogers isn’t interested in working in Chicago he wants to play for the LA Galaxy so he can be close to his family in the Southern California area. The interesting aspect of the Robbie Rogers story is, on various internet forums there is a lot of excitement people seem thrilled he might comeback. There is also no hint of homophobia at least from what I’ve read about Robbie Rogers online.
There seems to be a lot of people who truly respect this young man since he was so courageous to come out during his prime. Rogers is only twenty five, he turns twenty six later this month but he still has time to continue his successful career. Rogers retired from professional soccer because he is concerned about dealing with homophobia in the lockeroom and from fans from opposing teams. I sincerely hope Robbie Rogers does return to the MLS because just by competing he can give a lot of hope to LGBT people. I am cognizant that Rogers doesn’t want to be a gay hero he just wants to be a soccer player. Since there is a paucity of male athletes coming out in professional sports Robbie Rogers is proof a gay man can be masculine and also excel at sports.
Although the mainstream media, are trying to say NBA free agent Jason Collins coming out as a gay man is a big deal the truth is it isn’t. Jason Collins is not the gay Jackie Robinson although he is on the cover of the Sports Illustrated. When is Orlando Cruz the Puerto Rican boxer should be on the cover? Orlando Cruz came out as a gay man in late year in in the fall and he is still active in boxing. Since boxing is considered a fringe sport, Cruz isn’t getting the media attention he so rightfully deserves.
Orlando Cruz has won two professional fights since he came out of the closet last fall, so why isn’t he on the cover of the NY Times or ESPN Magazine? Why is Orlando Cruz so disrespected just because he’s a boxer?
Jason Collins coming out, might make a difference in the black community though, he shines a spotlight into the struggles gay black men experience in society. I think that’s the only thing I can really take out of Jason Collins coming out he might allow our community to have more of a dialogue about homosexuality. It does take courage for a black gay man to come out especially if the man is a professional athlete.
I am cynical because, I think the social impact is only going to really occur when a gay man comes out in a team sport while he is still active and in his prime.
When is a male sports superstar going to come out as gay like Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Amelie Mauresmo have done in women’s tennis? Navratilova, King, and Mauresmo are elite tennis champions they reached number one in the world and won multiple grand slam singles titles. Navratilova and King came out in the 1980s they lost millions of dollars in endorsements.
Amelie Mauresmo came out at the beginning of her career after she reached the Australian Open women’s final in 1999. Due to Navratilova and King’s success on the tennis court it was easier for Mauresmo to come out as a lesbian. Mauresmo retained all of her endorsements and she’s a national hero in France.
There still isn’t a professional male athlete in a team sport who is active out of the closet. Jason Collins is a journeyman, he wasn’t a great player and he’s not active he’s a free agent.
In order to smash the misconceptions about gay men in professional sports, it is going to take someone braver than Jason Collins.
It is going to take a man who is in his prime, a professional athlete, and someone who is a solid athlete.
Since, Jason Collins is thirty four years old, he waited until the end of his career to come out which is easier. Collins has nothing to lose coming out now he competed in the NBA for twelve years.
It is sad that the majority of the gay male athletes who do come out only come out always come out at the end of their professional careers. At the end of a pro athlete’s career there is less stigma to coming out and less of a risk.
There is a serious issue of homophobia in men’s professional sports given the fact nobody wants to come out while active.
Since at least 5 to 10% of the population is gay there has to be more gay men in the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL who are gay but closeted. Why are these gay men still in the closet?
In the grand scheme of things, Collins is thirty four years old, he’s not on a team. Collins also waited until the end of his career to come out as a gay man. I commend Collins for having the courage to come out, but he is not the gay Jackie Robinson. The social impact that Jason Collins coming out is going to have is small. Bossip: So how did you meet Kerry Rhodes?
Russell: I met him at an NFL training camp. A friend of mine was up there trying to get hired as a player’s assistant and I kinda tagged along. I don’t wanna be anyone’s assistant and I basically helped my friend get to Arizona (Cardinals) to get a job. We went up the hotel suite and Kerry was up there. We talked and that was about it. I later went back to North Carolina and he called me wanting me to come back to Arizona to help manage his assistants and personal team. We started dating about 2 months after and then got in a relationship.
Bossip: What were your duties as Kerry’s boyfriend? Did his teammates know about you?
Russell: I was like his wife. I ran the household and took care of all his personal needs. If anyone needed anything from Kerry they came to me! That’s what Kerry loved about me. i didn’t take no sh*t from nobody. Kerry is kinda a dumb athlete, like a dumb jock. So, I took care of things that he didn’t understand. And yes, his teammates did know about me. It was kinda unspoken but I was at all his training camps and events. The other wives knew and loved me too. I was always there. It was no secret!

*laughs* It was great! It was very passionate because we were so in love. Of course he was the top! I’m not doing all that damn work! But, we were extremely close. It was very good and he put it on me!

I believe this discussion is very important and I think barebacking does indeed influence gay men. In society, there are very few positive representations of gay male sexuality at all. Some gay porn stars probably practice unsafe sex because they believe it can give them a career boost. But is it worth it, to risk one’s health just to make more money? Most gay porn studios do not allow barebacking it is a niche market.
Another point to consider is, there are very few places in society where male homosexuality is allowed to be shown in a sexual manner. Sure, there are television shows with gay characters such as Glee, Modern Family, and the New Normal on mainstream television. However, these gay male characters are rarely sexual they aren’t allowed to express their sexual desires like heterosexual characters.
Gay porn is one of the places where gay men can actually see other men being sexual with each other kissing, touching, and yes fucking one another.
Gay porn is fantasy, and I believe for some gay men it is a safe place where gay men we can see male homosexuality expressed visually on our computer screen. The lines become blurred though for some gay men, when they see the gay porn stars not practicing safer sex they believe they don’t have to use condoms as well. I also think for the models in gay porn it is just common sense that they should be practicing safer sex given their profession. It is true that in heterosexual porn condoms are rarely used and I can see the other side of the argument about the double standard.
I still believe though since HIV & AIDS is a serious issue in the gay male community that gay porn films should set an example and the models should be using condoms in gay porn films.

JACKSON, Miss. — The family of Marco McMillian, the Clarksdale mayoral candidate found brutally murdered last week, want authorities to investigate the death of the openly gay candidate as a hate crime after learning the gruesome details about his final moments.
The Coahoma County (Miss.) Sheriff’s Department, however, isn’t exploring that option, said its spokesman Will Rooker. The department is leading the investigation with the help of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation. Bureau spokesman Warren Strain couldn’t be reached for comment Monday.
McMillian was beaten, dragged, and set afire before his body was found Wednesday near the Mississippi River, according to a statement the family issued late Sunday and which was confirmed Monday by family friend and Marco McMillian’s godfather, Carter Womack.
Womack also said the 33-year-old was found naked, bruised and swollen. The account was based on photographs the family saw, as well as two conversations it had with the coroner.
McMillian was one of the first viable openly gay candidates to run for office in Mississippi, according to the Victory Fund, a national organization that supports homosexual candidates.
“He was very concerned about his safety; people had tried to talk him out of the race,” Womack said. “The family feels this ought to be investigated as a hate crime,” Womack said.
So too does Larry Nelson Sr., president and CEO of Victims Group of Violent Crimes in Jackson, Miss., who had spoken to McMillian just days before his death: “This was a hate crime. I don’t care if the perpetrator was black, white, or polka dotted.”
Mississippi has a hate-crime law that covers race, religion and gender but doesn’t extend to sexual orientation. Local and state agencies can seek assistance to pursue a federal hate crime, which does cover homosexuality, but they haven’t done so in this case.
Rooker offered no comment on the family’s statement. Coahoma County Coroner Scotty Meredith said only that McMillian’s body wasn’t dragged behind a vehicle but rather dragged from the vehicle to the spot where it was dumped.
Autopsy results won’t be released until toxicology tests are complete, which could take an additional three weeks.
Authorities found McMillian’s body a day after his sport-utility vehicle was involved in a head-on collision outside Clarksdale. The man driving was 22-year-old Lawrence Reed of Clarksdale, who later was charged with the candidate’s murder.
McMillian was not in the SUV at the time; investigators believe he already was dead and had been dumped hours beforehand.
Chris Talley, the driver of the other vehicle, said authorities knew about the crime before the accident occurred. Talley was taken to a local hospital and released. Reed was airlifted to the Regional Medical Center at Memphis and released Saturday. He’s being held at the Shelby County Jail in Memphis, Tenn., until he can be extradited.
Authorities remain tight-lipped about the murder and its possible motives, not only with the media but with the McMillian family. Womack said the McMillians are frustrated by the lack of communication and feel the crime deserves a full investigation.
“The only contact with the sheriff’s department the family has had was when the sheriff came by to say Marco was missing and then to say they found the body,” he said. “There has been nothing at all. Not a call, not anything.”
Rooker didn’t comment about the communication between his department and the family.
Without definitive answers, mass speculation abounds. Among the numerous theories is that Reed allegedly killed McMillian after McMillian made sexual advances toward him, or that the two men possibly had been in a romantic relationship.
The family said it doesn’t know Reed and never heard McMillian speak of him. Family members said they wanted to share what little facts they have about the case to dispel such speculation.
McMillian had moved back to his hometown of Clarksdale several months ago to enter the mayoral race. He had wanted to reduce crime and boost employment opportunities.
Before his return, the Democratic candidate had served as international executive director of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, executive assistant and chief of staff to the president of Alabama A&M University, and assistant to the vice president for institutional advancement at Jackson State University, his alma mater.
McMillian, who also has a master’s degree from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota, ran a firm providing professional consultation to nonprofit organizations.

(USA Today Sports Images)The NFL has no current players and startlingly few ex-players who are known to be gay, but it appears ex-49ers and Raiders offensive tackle Kwame Harris, a former first-round pick, has involuntarily been added to the list as a result of the legal fallout from a fight at a restaurant.
According to the San Mateo Daily Journal, a dispute over soy sauce at Su Hong restaurant in Menlo Park, Calif. last Aug. 21, has landed the former NFL player in court after he assaulted his ex-boyfriend.

Chief deputy district attorney Karen Guidotti told the paper that Harris and the alleged victim had been in a romantic relationship but were not involved at the time of the incident. Harris’ attorney Alin Cintean confirmed to the paper the two “were previously involved” but were just friends when the incident occurred.
Harris pleaded not guilty to felony charges of domestic violence causing great bodily injury and assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, the Daily Journal said. The dispute started when Harris got upset at his friend, Dimitri Geier, for pouring soy sauce on a plate of rice.
According to the paper, which was citing a suit filed in San Mateo County Superior Court, the two argued for seven minutes after the soy sauce was poured, and Harris said he wasn’t going to take Geier to the airport as he had said he would. When the two went to get Geier’s belongings from Harris’ car, Harris accused Geier of stealing his underwear and tried pulling the man’s pants down.
Geier tried unsuccessfully to get away, and Harris shook Geier and punched his arms, the paper said. Harris is 6-foot-7 and 240 pounds and Geier is 6-1, 220 pounds. The paper said Geier allegedly struck Harris three times in the face, and then Harris punched Geier several times in the face.

Geier was taken to an emergency room, and had surgery to repair broken orbital bones and required a metal plate to fix the damage, the paper said. The Daily Journal said Geier has filed a civil suit against Harris for assault, battery, false imprisonment, negligence and both intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress. Harris could also face up to seven years in prison if convicted, Guidotti told the paper.
Harris played at Stanford and was a first-round pick of the 49ers in 2003. He played in 86 NFL games, starting 55, including 11 games during his lone season with the Raiders in 2008. That was the last time he played in the NFL.
Harris’ lawyer told the paper his client was acting in self-defense and that Geier is just trying to get money through the civil suit.
“We’re looking forward to having this proven in court and clearing his name,” Cintean said.
The accuser, Pennsylvania resident Sheldon Stephens, had his unsubstantiated claims against Clash published Monday on the gossip web site TMZ. The smear triggered a torrent of social media activity and press reports that portrayed Clash, 52, as a predator (the New York Post’s front page headline read “Nookie Monster”).
While Stephens (seen at right) has not been publicly identified, TSG yesterday learned of his identity and confirmed his role in the Clash matter with two sources, a family member and a friend.
It is unclear how Stephens, who once lived in New York City, met Clash, who resides on Manhattan’s West Side. A friend of Stephens said that he “attracts these high-powered men,” but that the model wannabe was a “God-fearing guy” and “not just a pretty boy.”
In a statement released yesterday, a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania law firm–which no longer represents Stephens–reported that Clash’s accuser “wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship.” TMZ initially reported that the man claimed to have been 16 when his sexual relationship with Clash began.
Shortly after the statement’s release, TMZ scrambled to publish a story (citing “sources close to the situation”) claiming that attorneys for Clash and the accuser were, right then, purportedly “discussing a financial settlement and 6-figures were on the table.” At that point, however, Stephens was no longer being represented by Andreozzi & Associates, the Harrisburg law firm, and had no other legal representation. The issuance of the statement was done as a courtesy by Stephens’s former counsel, who noted that, “He will have no further comment on the matter.”
The acknowledgement that the damaging claim against Clash was not true came as a relief to the producers of “Sesame Street,” who, as The New York Times notes, “had been alarmed by seeing the words ‘under-age sex’ in the same sentence as ‘Elmo.’”
The recanting, however, came after TMZ had effectively outed Clash as a gay man. In a statement, the puppeteer noted, “I have never been ashamed of this or tried to hide it, but felt it was a personal and private matter.” It is unknown if TMZ, one of the country’s leading practitioners of checkbook journalism, paid Stephens for his story.
Stephens, who did not respond to e-mail and Facebook messages, describes himself as an “Entrepreneur, Student, Model, Actor” on his Twitter account, which is protected. His Facebook page’s “About” blurb notes, “I like to consider myself a rare breed. I’m very spontaneous and random…I’m determined and goal oriented. My destiny is laid on a solid gold brick pathway……. MY FUTURE IS BRIGHT and never will it dim.”
Online searches turned up dozens of modeling-type photos of Stephens, who often uses the name “Sheldon Xzavier.” However, there is no evidence that the 5’ 10” Harrisburg resident has met with any success as a model or actor. In a submission this year for a cover shoot with an online fashion magazine, Stephens wrote that, “I’ve always wanted to land a major project such as this one. It will help restore my confidence and to give me a better outlook on the future of my career.”
Photos show Stephens in a variety of U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, and New York City, where he is seen posing in a hotel room overlooking the World Trade Center memorial. As seen below, Stephens appears in a 30-second online commercial for a York, Pennsylvania clothing store. He also has a page on the Xtube porn site, but it appears inactive.
According to an October 2011 resume, Stephens has taken classes at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, and expects to receive a bachelor’s degree from the 322-student school in May 2013. Along with several internships, he reported working as a valet at a Hilton hotel in Harrisburg, and as an office assistant at an American Automobile Association branch.
Stephens’s resume also lists stints at a pair of clothing stores in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood. During this period, he resided in Brooklyn, but eventually returned to Harrisburg, where he now lives in a school dormitory about a mile from his mother’s apartment.
Felicia Stephens, 48, was charged last March with attempted murder after she allegedly repeatedly stabbed her husband with a pair of scissors. Free on bail, Stephens, who is also facing a felony aggravated assault rap, is next due in court December 19. Following his 
mother’s collar, Sheldon Stephens described her to a newspaper reporter as “the nicest person in the world.” Mother and son are pictured at right.
Court records show that Stephens himself has been arrested several times since 2009. Last year, Stephens was busted for passing a bad check, though that charge was eventually dismissed after he settled the debt with a Harrisburg business. He was also collared last May for reckless driving, and subsequently pleaded guilty to a traffic offense.
The most serious criminal charges filed against Stephens came in September 2009, when he was arrested at the Harrisburg airport after stepping off a flight from L.A..
According to a criminal complaint, music manager Darian Pollard contacted the Beverly Hills Police Department to report that Stephens–an intern that he had just fired–had robbed him at knifepoint of a $250,000 “white gold necklace with diamonds” and a “white gold ring with diamond baguets.”
Pollard, who heads DP Music Entertainment Group, told cops that Stephens had boarded a flight bound for Harrisburg. Beverly Hills police contacted their counterparts in Pennsylvania, and two officers detained Stephens, who “was wearing the necklace and also the ring” as he exited the plane, reported an investigator, who added, “He made no attempt to hide either article.”
Cops, who did not find a knife in Stephens’s luggage, arrested him on two felony receiving stolen property counts. Stephens, according to 
the complaint, denied that the jewelry was stolen. “He insists they were gifts,” a cop noted.
Criminal charges were initially filed against Stephens in a Pennsylvania court, where a judge ordered him held in lieu of $15,000 bail (his prison mug shots are here). The criminal complaint notes that a Beverly Hills Police Department detective told Pennsylvania investigators that he “would be filing charges in Beverly Hills for theft and other charges.”
However, a TSG search of L.A. county court records did not locate any evidence indicating that charges were subsequently filed against Stephens in Beverly Hills. The charges lodged against Stephens in Pennsylvania were dismissed two weeks after he was arrested at the Harrisburg International Airport.
In brief phone interviews, Pollard described himself as a “very wealthy” man who has been held up “like five times.” He claimed not to recall being robbed at knifepoint by Stephens or calling Beverly Hills cops. A friend of Stephens’s dismissed the Beverly Hills incident as a simple “misunderstanding,” likening it to a “domestic dispute.”
In addition to Stephens’s modeling and acting pursuits, he has founded a management company whose web site describes itself as “a boutique style full service agency representing the industries elite.” The firm’s “target markets” include Harrisburg, New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. Stephens describes himself as having traveled the U.S. as a “High Profile Model, Hollywood stylist, Public Relation rep, and an Intern for multiple entertainment and production Agencies.”
Among the companies listed as partners of Stephens’s fledgling concern is “DP Music Management,” Pollard’s firm (the name of which does not appear, however, on Stephens’s resume).
Stephens’s web site also notes that one of his goals has been “spearheading Local Celebrities to National Stars.” Mission accomplished (17 pages)

The 23-year-old man, who had claimed that when he was 16 he and Kevin Clash, 52, had begun a relationship, recanted his statement through his lawyer last night.
The man, who has not been identified, “wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr Clash was an adult consentual relationship,” the statement from the lawyers’ said.
Mr Clash, who had previously denied the accusastions, said: “I am relieved that this painful allegation has been put to rest. I will not discuss it further.”
Sesame Workshop had said its own investigation, during which its lawyers met with the accuser twice, had found the allegation of under age sex to be unsubstantiated.
But it said Mr Clash had exercised “poor judgment” and was disciplined for violating company policy on internet usage.
The puppeteer, who has voiced the red furry monster Elmo since 1984, told TMZ he did have a relationship with his accuser but “it was between two consenting adults and I am deeply saddened that he is trying to make it into something it was not.”
Mr Clash was granted a leave of absence at his own request in order to “protect his reputation” and to fight the allegations, Sesame Workshop said.
Last year Mr Clash starred in the successful documentary film “Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey,” which told the story of how he had dreamed as a child of working on The Muppets.
In 2006 he wrote a book called “My Life as a Furry Red Monster: What Being Elmo Has Taught Me About Life, Love and Laughing Out Loud.”
